Welcome to KNDKATZ. We are dedicated to breeding healthy, happy and well socialized kittens that will become important members of your family. Our kittens are raised underfoot in our home. We spend a lot of time interacting and playing with our kittens in our living room. Whether it is playing on the carpet or falling asleep with us on the sofa, rest assured your kitten with wild blood will be as 'domestic' as is possible. Remember though that Chausies are a hybrid cat with behaviors unlike anything you may have experienced with your domestic feline. The desire to reach the highest point available is not uncommon, even if the 'peak' happens to be your shoulders! Running or standing water is mesmerizing to some Chausies. Our Chausie, Sheik, has been known to play in ice water up to his elbows. Head butting is not uncommon, it is a sign that you the human are part of the 'clan'. But being rammed in the head by a 16 pound cat does take some geting used to, even though it is very cute. To a domestic cat owner these and other behaviors may seem strange. To a Chausie owner it is a normal occurrence.
All of the cats in our household (hybrid and domestic) are FIV and FELV tested so you can be assured your kitten will arrive healthy and free of disease. Your kitten will be ready to ship at 12 weeks of age with all current vaccinations. A kitten can be released at 8 weeks of age if you pick it up in person and agree to have a veterinarian administer the other required vaccinations.
If you decide that one of our kittens will make a welcome addition to your family, a contract will be mailed to you. A signed contract with a $200 non-refundable deposit will hold your kitten.
