Our cattery is located on 20 acres, high in the hills overlooking the Antelope Valley, California. We have been cat people all our lives and have been accused of being 'cat fanatics' by many of our friends. But as the old saying goes 'one can never have too many cats.'

We became aware of the Chausie breed a few years ago while surfing the internet. We got our first Chausie, named Sheik, from Desert's Meow Cattery in Arizona in 2001. We were so impressed by Sheik that we made the decision to become Chausie breeders. It took us until 2004 to have our first two litters of kittens, F-2's and F-4's.

Our cats, domestic and Chausie, have the run of the house. They can also go outside in safety thanks to our cat enclosure that measures 20ft x 20ft x 12ft high with a chainlink roof. It is made of chain link and has a concrete floor. We enjoy watching the cats play outside but knowing that they are safe.

Our home and cattery uses 'green' power for operation. We have a renewable energy system that utilizes a wind generator. We have experienced many problems with the wind generator, but when working properly it provides us with 80% of the electricity we use. It was not easy going 'green' and I would not recommend this for everyone, but it is a project we are committed to.

Animal charities we donate to include Alley Cat Allies, Paws with a Cause, HSUS, the Peregrine Fund, Exotic Feline Breeding Compound, and Desert Tortoise Preservation Committee.  We also donate to Disabled American Veterans. We are big fans of the CBS show 'Survivor,' and as such donate to The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation.

We believe strongly in Alley Cat Allies as their policy is to educate people and save feral cats.  Their policy is to Spay/Neuter and Release.  They have been succesful in various parts of the country to reduce the feral cat population without euthanizing them.  Their website is

All these groups can use your help too. Right now the Wildlife Waystation is in dire need of donations in order to exist. Many exotic animals will be homeless if this place goes under. Go to
